I need a solution - 6V solar source for the Moultrie Hog Light

    8 D's would last longer than the c cells but keep a eye on the volts, that would be pushing 12v. Most C & D rechargeable's will be around 1.3 - 1.4 volts fully charged, alkaline around 1.5v. Stay away from the L-ion cells, they develop a memory to soon for these application's.

    OK, here it is.....



    Plano plastic water tight fishing gear container.

    Rechargeable "C" batteries in a series box from Fry's with a quick disconnect. I used a panel bonding adhesive to glue the battery box inside the case. Drilled some air/moisture holes in the bottom corners


    The panel mounts to the side of the feeder and the battery case has a loop wire hanger off the back side to hang it.

    A couple hours invested and about $42 in parts.

    The next one will done with "D' cells.
